Andy has been acting since 2003. Initially performing at New Venture Theatre in a range of productions, Antony and Cleopatra; Helen Nelder’s What I Just Shot; Hard Times; Cosi; Blue Remembered Hills (as Willie); The Duchess Of Malfi; Bouncers; The Ugly One; Breaking The Code; Our Country’s Good; The Memory of Water; Richard III plus Someone Who'll Watch Over Me for Southwick Players.
In recent years he has appeared at NVT as Lenny in Of Mice and Men (Best Actor Award Brighton & Hove Arts Council), Mr Boo in Little Voice, Victor in Arthur Miller's The Price, Truscott in Loot, Larry in Patrick Marber's Closer for Sideway Theatre, One half of Jim Cartwright's Two for Shatterproof Productions, Berkoffs' Greek at BLT, Blue Remembered Hills for Southwick Players in 2016 and its 2017 revival with Identity, followed by his masterful performance as John Proctor in Identity's 2018 production of The Crucible
Following last year's Identity production of The Crucible, where she played Betty Parris, Heloise is returning to the BOAT for the 2019 production. Excited to take on the role of Isabella, Heloise is enjoying the rehearsal process, and is keen to take on further acting opportunities in the future.
For Matthew Bourne, Dena created the role of Sandra Grubb in the original production of Edward Scissorhands,and later took the roles of Marilyn-Ann Evercreech and Gloria Grubb; she performed the roles of Ferral and Flossie in Sleeping Beauty; in Cinderella, the roles of Betty and Mabel, and in Nutcracker, the roles of Cupid and Marshmallow.
As movement director she has worked for Samling on L'Enfant et les Sortileges, (Sage Gateshead) and on operatic productions including Belshazzar (Trinity Laban), the Grimebourne Season (Arcola Theatre) and Fiesque (Bloomsbury Theatre). For Chichester Uni, Dena has choreographed adaptations of Orton's Erpingham Camp, The Wonderful World Of Dissocia by Anthony Neilson and the site specific Year Walk.
She created and performed Impromptu with saxophonist Andrew Worthy (Dome), and was assistant choreographer for Brown Bomber created by Julian Joseph and Sheron Wray for the 2012 Cultural Olympiad. Dena performed Dance:Radio for Drywrite (Latitude Festival). She co-choreographed Walk The Talk for Wales National Youth Dance Company and was assistant Artistic Director for JazzXchange Music & Dance Company performing with the company in the original production of Lucky For Some with Wynton Marsalis (Barbican). Dena was a featured dancer in the film Mrs Henderson Presents.
Dena is currently an associate lecturer at Chichester University, and a certified Body Control Matwork Pilates Instructor.

Nettie returned to the stage after a long break in 2011. Since this time she has performed in many productions and undertaken a variety backstage roles including Stage Manager, Production Assistant, DSM and Prompt. She was Assistant Director for Private Lives, Director for Lettice and Lovage and the Brighton and Hove Arts Council Excellence Award-winning Blue Remembered Hills in 2016 (co-directing with Gary Cook), and its BOAT revival with their company, Identity in 2017.
Nettie has played a variety of roles, her recent favourites being The Dodo in Alice In Wonderland, Sarah Sally in Translations, Ma Bailey in Its A Wonderful Life, Muriel in Animal Farm and Soberance in Far From The Madding Crowd.
Nettie has also performed in musicals, pantomimes, variety shows and rehearsed play readings. She is an active member of Brighton Little Theatre, Southwick Players and The Arundel Players.
In 2018, Nettie directed Fantastic Mister Fox for the Southwick Players Youth group, with youngsters aged 10-16. She co-directed The Crucible with Identity, and in November 2018, played Faye in Neil Simon's Chapter Two, followed by channelling her inner witch for the Wick Theatre Company's Macbeth in 2019.
Props / SM / Ensemble
Charley performed with the Wick Theatre Company as Agnes in their 2007 production of David Copperfield. She then followed her love for Shakespeare by working with the Shakespeare Players in Dallas, Texas, in productions of Comedy of Errors, Cymbeline and A Midsummer Night’s Dream - a play she also featured in back home with the Southwick Players’ in 2016.
Charley has taught both English and Drama, assisting with various school productions backstage, and in 2017 achieved her MA in Shakespeare and Education.
In 2018, she took part in the Southwick Players’ haunting production of The Turn of the Screw and was part of the make-up team for their production of Fantastic Mister Fox. Charley played Mercy Lewis in Identity's 2018 The Crucible, as well as handling props and stage management.
SM / Directors Assistant / Servant/ Ensemble
Debbie has performed in several acting and non-acting roles at The Southwick Players, winning Best Supporting Actor awards for both Benjamin in Animal Farm and Lotte in Lettice and Lovage. She has also performed at Brighton Little Theatre and has taken the role of assistant supervisor/director for SP Youth drama group (SPY) and their production of Fantastic Mister Fox. In 2018 she performed in dual roles in The Turn Of The Screw directed by Gary at The Barn Theatre, In Identity's The Crucible as Ann Putnam/Martha Corey, and in October returned to the Barn as Mrs. Watty in The Corn Is Green, for which she won the Best Supporting Actress award from the Southwick Players.
Kane enjoys throwing himself completely at an acting role... and despite popular belief, caught the acting bug late. "School is for academic study" his mother said. So after dropping out of Mathematics at University he completed the 2 year diploma in acting at ACT Brighton... Previous roles in training include Ralph Clark in Our Country's Good, Gidney in Pinter's A Night Out, and various characters in Caryl Churchill's thrilling Love and Information. In 2019, he portrayed Malcolm in Wick Theatre Company’s Macbeth.
Kane loves exceptionally dark and emotional plays and is very much looking forward to playing Heathcliff.
Phoebe caught the acting bug very young; from the age of three she created "avant-garde" performances (!) for family and friends dressed as a clown called Tissue Roll Roll.
Phoebe has trained with the National Youth Theatre, Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (2018) and East 15 Acting School (2016). Roles whilst training include Brutus in Julius Caesar, Anne in Separate Tables, Lady Capulet in Romeo & Juliet, Ellen in On The Shore and Anthony in Tiny Dynamite.
Phoebe performed in NYT’s production of Zigger Zagger at Wilton’s Music Hall and also at the Dorfman Theatre at the National as the Tarot Reader/ Baby in Citizenship as part of the Connections festival. In 2018, Phoebe took part in several R&D’s for Pericles at the National Theatre Studios.
Other roles include Dandini in Cinderella, Dolores in Be My Baby and Miss Framer in Lettice & Lovage (Southwick Players), Cinderella/Queen/Prince in Grimm Tales, and Miss Havisham in Great Expectations (Brighton Little), Susie in Loserville, Miss Darbus in HSM and Madame Thénardier in Les Misérables (Apollo).
Phoebe has had two of her own pieces performed at Gateways, a regular night of new writing in London, chosen out of over 300. She self-performed Can’t Get You Out Of My Head and her piece Apple Juice was presented by other actors.
She is thrilled to be performing as Catherine with this brilliant & exciting company.
Originally from Somerset, Carly studied with Method Acting London for several years. In 2017 she played Amy-Lee Fullernoy in TLC’s Laundry and Bourbon, and also co-produced and played Patti in, More Manet for Your Monet - The Hipsters’ Pantomime with Clay Theatre and Film (The Courtyard Theatre). A lover of immersive, experimental theatre, she has worked extensively with Murder Mystery Events (The Sherlock Holmes Hotel), Comedy Dining, and Divine Ridiculous (Mandrea Music Festival; The Clerkenwell Tarot). Other recent stage credits include Nina in The Seagull (Fox and Chips Productions), and Jackie Kennedy in Castro of Mediterranean (Theatro Technis).
Carly is thrilled to be joining Identity Theatre Company for this exciting production.
Frances Earnshaw / Lass / Ensemble
This is Sophie’s debut performance with Identity Theatre. She is thrilled to be back at BOAT performing in Wuthering Heights. Sophie graduated with a BA in Theatre Arts from Northbrook and Brighton University in 2013.
Since graduating she has worked professionally in theatre across Brighton both on and back stage,
co-founded a successful theatre company and shared her love of the arts through teaching acting and drama to young, budding theatre students.
Joseph/ Old Man Linton
Andrew has performed with the Southwick players in recent years. He made his debut with the Players in darkest Wessex as Jan Coggan, senior rustic in the Brighton and Hove Arts Council award-winning Far From The Madding Crowd. He then went on for a quiet meander round a far from stately home in a selection of schizophrenic roles in Peter Schaffer's gleeful Lettice and Lovage.
In 2016 he joined the cast of Southwick Players' Blue Remembered Hills as Raymond, the slightly posher one with a bit of a conscience. He appeared as Timothy Leary, hallucinogenic prophet, in Opera Alumnus’ reimagined version of Handel’s Alcina and then reprised Raymond in Identity's Blue Remembered Hills in 2017. In 2018 he played the haunting Peter Quint in Southwick Players' The Turn of the Screw, and the tragic Giles Corey in The Crucible for Identity. He returned to the Barn Theatre stage for Wick Theatre Company's Macbeth in 2019.
In addition to onstage duties, Wes will be helping with set construction.

Martin Oakley will once more be joining us to convert our scribbly ideas into a thing of beauty.
Bea's acting career launched aged eleven when she was the eponymous hero in Peter Pan. She trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and has Directed Martin Crimps' Attempts on Her Life, Moira Buffini’s Love Play, and Laura Wade's Breathing Corpses.
Since then she has played Amanda in Private Lives for Southwick Players, Hedda in Hedda Gabler at Brighton Little Theatre, as well as Anna in Old Times, Hermione in The Winter's Tale, Beatrice in A Comedy of Errors, Nel in End Games, and Charlotte Corday in Marat/Sade to name but a few.
Bea took time out recently to pursue an MA in Creative Writing at Chichester University for which she was awarded a Distinction; she is currently writing her third novel.
In 2016/17 Bea twice played Angela in Blue Remembered Hills for Southwick Players and Identity Theatre, then returned to the Brighton Open Air Theatre for Identity's The Crucible in 2018 playing Elizabeth Proctor.
Hindley Earnshaw/ Hareton Earnshaw
Harry is a bilingual actor who spent his childhood growing up in France. He trained at the academy of creative training, graduating last year in Brighton. After his showcase he has been represented by John Mahoney management. Born in Sussex, Harry was moved to France for ten years, so a story about a man who never quite felt like he fit in, was irresistible. He remarks that the story of Wuthering Heights is especially relevant today because of the situations we find ourselves in. In a world where we’re all trying to find somewhere we belong, maybe this shows our darkest desperations when we are truly lost.
Kate has been involved in the theatre since her debut in panto at the age of 5. She became a Speech and Drama teacher, and was Head of Drama at Deepdene School for many years.
She has enjoyed a variety of roles, amongst her favourites have been... Her Ladyship in Strangers in Arms at the Piccadilly Theatre, London; Lady Jacqueline in Me and My Girl for Brighton and Hove Operatic; Felicia in The Witches of Eastwick for Brighton Theatre Group (both at the Theatre Royal Brighton); Flora in Flora the Red Menace at Brighton Little Theatre; Sybil in Daisy Pulls it Off at the Pavilion Theatre Brighton; Audrey in Blue Remembered Hills and Linda in Blood Brothers (both for Unexpected Productions); Isobel in The Pirates of Penzance for Music 2000; Julie in Here Comes The Bride for Beside the Sea Productions.
In the 90's Kate became one of the founder members of The Big Fat Theatre Company and performed as Monica in An Evening With Gary Lineker and Hobby in Teechers.
She directed Bouncers for The Southwick Players, winning best Director in the Brighton and Hove Arts Council Awards for this production.
Kate currently teaches at BSTARZ and also at Theatre Workshop preparing children for LAMDA exams, scholarships and festivals.
In 2017, as her debut with Identity, Kate played Audrey in Blue Remembered Hills; in 2018 she played the housekeeper Mrs Grose in The Turn of the Screw at Southwick Players and Hold Me Touch Me in The Producers for Apollo Productions, as well as Ms. Darbus in High School Musical for BTG, and in 2018 played Rebecca Nurse in Identity's The Crucible, and returns with us to the BOAT for 2019.
Edgar Linton/ Linton Heathcliff
Daniel is fresh out of college and has worked as a character and parade performer at Disneyland Paris and as an elf for Santa’s Lapland in Finland.
His roles include Caliban in The Tempest, Bobby Mills in A Chorus Line and Marvin in Loserville (The Old Market), Rev. Parris in The Crucible (The Basement), Marius in Les Misèrables and Franz in Rock of Ages (Roedean Theatre), Ed Montgomery in Posh (Old Ship Hotel), Orsino in Twelfth Night (Barn Theatre), Evan Goldman in 13 the Musical (Worthing Pavilion), Cat in the Hat in Seussical and Pharaoh in Joseph (Leatherhead Theatre), Dodger in Oliver! (The Windmill Theatre, The Shoreham Centre), and Mr Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors and Corny Collins in Hairspray (ArtsDepot) to name a few.
He has also performed in the Brighton Fringe improv show A Beginning, A Muddle and an End in 2013 (New Venture Theatre), as well as covering the role of Ms Pennywise in the award-winning Brighton Fringe production of Urinetown (Brighton Little Theatre) after the leading lady was hospitalised. His film credits include The Children’s Society’s 2016 ad campaign. Immediately after Wuthering Heights, Daniel will be performing in London in a production of Dogfight.
Wuthering Heights marks Daniel’s first venture with Identity Theatre and he looks forward to working with the company.
Director / Producer/ Founder
After many years with the band Skinbat Scramble, leaving a trail of 6 remaindered CDs in their wake, designer Gary swapped music for his first love, theatre.
Initially working in publicity and promotion for several Brighton Theatre Groups (notably the Southwick Players, for whom he has won several Arts Council Publicity Awards), he has also worked on sound design, set design, props and "hanging about backstage trying to be useful". In 2016 Gary co-directed Dennis Potter's Blue Remembered Hills for the Southwick Players (with Nettie Sheridan), which won many Arts Council awards including the Excellence Award.
His short play Pity was presented to great acclaim as part of a one-act evening for Southwick Players - he is currently working on an expanded full length version, as well as a SF drama, The Librarian.
In 2017, Gary teamed up with Nettie to form Identity and reprise Blue Remembered Hills at the BOAT.
In March 2018, Gary directed an adaptation of Henry James' The Turn of The Screw for the Southwick Players (runner-up in the NODA south-east drama awards) and in April 2018 directed a rehearsed reading of the gangster farce Wetwork by Darren Little. In October 2018 Gary performed in Southwick Players' award-winning The Corn Is Green, as the rickety and confused Old Tom (typecasting!). He is so chuffed to be back at the BOAT for 2019, for Wuthering Heights.
